Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs to Debut Renovated 19,000-Square-Foot Spa This Fall

Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa, at 5001 Coconut Road in Bonita Springs, will debut a renovated spa this fall, according to reporting from Gulfshore Business published September 18, 2026. The redesigned facility replaces the resort's existing Stillwater Spa & Salon and is planned to span two stories and roughly 19,000 square feet.

Per the Gulfshore Business report, the new space is planned to include 14 treatment rooms, a sauna and steam room, a salt room, a full-service salon with expanded manicure and pedicure stations, a group fitness center, and separate relaxation areas. New wellness offerings are expected to include cold plunge pools, red light therapy, and movement-focused programs.

The resort also plans to introduce three spa membership tiers, giving local members access to the wellness facilities, fitness amenities, and other resort privileges, according to the same reporting. An exact opening date within the fall season has not been reported.

The spa project is described as the completion of a multi-year enhancement plan at the resort. According to earlier reporting by Florida Weekly, the property renovated its guest rooms in 2022, redesigned the Tarpon Bay restaurant and made water park enhancements in 2023, debuted Tanglewood, a Southern-inspired restaurant, in 2024, and added new meeting spaces along with a renovated outdoor Calusa Ballroom Terrace in late 2025. General Manager Brian Kramer was quoted in that reporting saying the spa project completes the plan and reflects an investment "in the future of our incredible property."

The resort opened in September 2001 and marks its 25th year in business in 2026, according to the same Florida Weekly reporting.

Nobody can honestly put a number on what a single resort renovation does to nearby property values, and it is fair to be skeptical of anyone who claims otherwise. What is verifiable is narrower: Coconut Road in Bonita Springs will have a substantially larger, newly built wellness facility open to resort guests and, through the planned membership program, to some number of local residents as well, sometime this fall.

Resort capital investment on this scale is also a data point about how an operator reads the surrounding market. Hyatt has now completed renovations across guest rooms, dining, meeting space, and outdoor areas at this property within roughly four years, according to the reporting cited above, which points to sustained investment in the corridor rather than a single isolated project.

As one data point among several, not as a reason to act on its own. A renovated resort amenity says something about ongoing investment in the area; it does not forecast what a specific nearby address will be worth to own.
