Is Barefoot Beach the Same as Barefoot Beach Preserve?
No, and this is the confusion worth clearing first.
Barefoot Beach Preserve County Park is a public park. The residential community is a separate thing that shares the name. They sit near one another, which is exactly why the two get run together, in conversation and in search results alike.
The practical consequence is that a search for the name returns a mix of park information, parking and access details, and property listings, and it is easy to read something about the park and believe it applies to the community. It does not. When you are reading about access, hours or rules, check first which of the two the page is actually describing.
This is the same shape of problem as Saltleaf down the road, where the community carries "Estero Bay" in its name and sits in Bonita Springs. A name is not an address.
What Am I Still Confirming About This Community?
Three things, and I would rather say so than write something that reads well and turns out to be wrong.
The water type at community level, whether the gate is a gate, and whether there is golf inside it. Those show as "Not confirmed" in the summary at the top of this page, and they will stay that way until they are confirmed rather than assumed.
That is not a formality. On this coast, water is the single most misdescribed attribute in real estate copy. Beach frontage and a route out by boat are two different products, and a barrier island address can have one, the other, both on different streets, or neither. Guessing which is how a buyer ends up touring the wrong list.

How Does It Compare With the Rest of Bonita Springs?
Bonita Springs sorts more usefully by water than by anything else, and Barefoot Beach sits at the coastal end of that sort.
Bonita Bay, Pelican Landing and Saltleaf are the bayfront club communities, all on Estero Bay, all gated with golf. The Colony is an enclave inside Pelican Landing. Inland, The Brooks and Shadow Wood Country Club are built around lakes and a large private club, with beach access that members reach by car rather than by dock.

Address by address, because on a barrier island the community name tells you much less than the lot does.
What I would establish with you: what the specific property actually has on the water and whether that is beach frontage, bay frontage, dockage or a view; the flood zone and the elevation certificate, which matter more on a barrier island than almost anywhere else in this market and which drive the insurance number; what the association covers and what it charges; and the rental rules in writing if letting the property is any part of your thinking.
