What Is WildBlue?
A gated, master-planned lakefront community of roughly 3,500 acres off Corkscrew Road, about three miles east of I-75, in the southern part of Fort Myers at the Estero line.
The organising fact is the water: more than 800 acres of it, in three large, deep freshwater lakes, with roughly 1,300 to 1,500 further acres set aside as nature preserve. Around 1,100 single-family homes and custom estates at build-out, from builders including Lennar, Pulte, Stock Development and WCI.

Is WildBlue in Estero or Fort Myers?
Fort Myers, and the confusion is understandable rather than careless. WildBlue sits right on the Fort Myers and Estero border, most people reach it the same way they reach the Estero corridor communities, and it gets presented as Estero often enough that plenty of buyers first meet it that way.
The address is Fort Myers. What matters more than the label: it shares the Corkscrew Road corridor with Estero's communities, so anyone comparing it with Corkscrew Shores, Verdana Village or RiverCreek is comparing the right things, whatever the city line says.
What Kind of Water Is It?
The kind you can actually use. WildBlue's three lakes are former limestone quarries, which is why they are deep in a region where most community lakes are shallow retention shapes with names. Residents powerboat, water ski, wakeboard, kayak and paddleboard on them, and the community runs a marina and boat ramp.
The dock answer, which buyers ask first: lakefront homeowners can build private boat docks, and off-lake residents use the community ramp and marina. A house on the water here genuinely means the boat behind the house, on your own dock, which almost no lake community on this coast can say.
And the honest limit: the water is freshwater and inland. Nothing at WildBlue reaches the Gulf. If the plan is salt water, a saltwater boat and a run to open water, this is the wrong community, and Estero's Pelican Sound or the coastal markets answer it instead. WildBlue is for the buyer whose boating life is the lake itself, and on that definition it has no local equal.
What Does the Community Include?
An amenity campus built around the water: a resort-style pool and a separate lap pool, a fitness centre and spa, tennis and pickleball, and an indoor and outdoor waterfront restaurant with a gathering terrace looking over the lake.
There is no golf course, and that is a decision rather than a gap. WildBlue is built around water recreation and wellness instead of a bundled golf membership, which also means the cost structure does not carry a course. Buyers who want the course on this corridor look at Estero's Grandezza or Pelican Sound; buyers who would rather ski than putt end up here.
The Homes, What They Cost, and Where It All Sits
Single-family homes through custom lakefront estates, commonly cited from about 1,600 to more than 5,000 square feet, built by Lennar, Pulte, Stock Development and WCI. It is an unusually wide span for one gate: attainable family homes and true estate scale share the same lakes.
Position is the quiet advantage: roughly ten to fifteen minutes from Southwest Florida International Airport, with Gulf Coast Town Center, Miromar Outlets and Coconut Point Mall all close. For a seasonal owner who flies in and out, few communities in the region are this easy to reach from a gate at RSW.
