What Is The Lakes of Estero?
A D.R. Horton community of 102 single-family homes on about 25 acres at the intersection of River Ranch Road and Williams Road, in Estero. It is non-gated, and most homesites carry a view of one of the community's freshwater lakes.
It is new construction rather than an established neighborhood, which is the main thing to understand before comparing it to anything else in this market: current codes, current systems and a builder's warranty, on a smaller and simpler footprint than the gated club communities nearby.

Two, as of this writing. The Ellenton runs 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths at 2,306 square feet. The Coral runs 5 bedrooms and 4 baths at 2,596 square feet, and carries the higher price of the two.

What Amenities Does It Have?
A clubhouse, a resort-style pool, a fitness center, tennis and pickleball courts, a basketball court, a playground and walking trails through the community.
That is a real amenity package for a non-gated community of this size, closer to what a gated Estero community offers than what a plain subdivision usually does.
Is It Gated, and Is There a Golf Course?
No to both. The Lakes of Estero is non-gated, and there is no golf course on the property.
Neither is a defect; it is a different trade than the gated club communities on the Corkscrew Road corridor. You give up a manned or coded entrance and a bundled or member-owned course, and in exchange the HOA structure is simpler and the entry price sits below most of the gated alternatives nearby.
How Does It Compare With the Rest of Estero?
Estero's new construction sorts mainly on gate and amenity scale. Corkscrew Shores, Verdana Village and Kingston are gated, larger, and built around a bigger clubhouse and lake amenity. West Bay Club and Pelican Sound add golf and genuine Gulf access, at a different price point entirely.
