What Is Aqualane Shores?
A waterfront neighbourhood at the southern tip of Naples along Naples Bay, sitting between Olde Naples and Port Royal. Roughly 350 single-family homesites across about 300 acres, developed from 1949.
It is one of the few addresses in this market that answers both halves of what people usually have to choose between: the boat and the walk into town.

What Is the Water Actually Like?
Wide deep-water canals, most properties with private backyard docks, and no fixed bridges between them and the water beyond.
That gives direct access to Naples Bay and out to the Gulf through Gordon Pass. The absence of a fixed bridge is the part worth underlining: it is what decides whether a given boat can actually leave, and it is the difference that a listing photograph cannot show you.

Can You Walk Into Town From Here?
Yes, and that is unusual for a deep-water address.
Aqualane Shores is walkable to Third Street South and Fifth Avenue South, which is the part of Naples people picture when they picture Naples. Most communities in this market ask you to choose between a dock behind the house and being able to leave the car at home. This one does not.
If that combination is the point for you rather than an incidental, it narrows the search considerably, and it is worth saying so early.
How Does It Compare With the Rest of Naples?
Its natural comparisons are the other bay addresses. Port Royal is immediately south, a larger private peninsula with dockage for bigger vessels and a beachfront club. Royal Harbor sits on the eastern shore of Naples Bay, also with no-bridge access, and is non-gated with no mandatory association.

How I Would Approach It With You
By confirming the water at the specific address, then the house, then the walk.
What I would establish with you: controlling depth at the dock at low tide, the route out through Gordon Pass for the boat you actually own, the dock and lift permits and what they allow you to change, and the seawall's age and condition. On a 1949 plat, some of these homes are original and some are rebuilds, so the age of what is above the waterline and the age of what is below it are two separate questions.
