Read that address again, because the name says something else, and that is the single most useful thing to know about this community.

No. The address is Naples.
The name points at Marco Island and the property does not sit there. This site had it wrong too: Marco Shores was claimed on the Marco Island page until 27 August 2026, when it was corrected.
It is the same trap that catches people with Saltleaf on Estero Bay, which is in Bonita Springs, and with Pelican Landing, which some brokerages list under Estero. A name is not an address, and in this market it is wrong often enough to check every time.
How Should That Change the Way You Search?
Search the community name directly, and confirm the governing city on the listing and the tax record.
If you filter a portal to Marco Island, this community will not appear, however much the name suggests it should. If you filter to Naples, it will. Somebody shopping Marco Island who would happily have considered this address simply never sees it, which is a real cost to a seller here and a real gap for a buyer.

What Kind of Water and Golf Is It?

Inland lake rather than coastal water, so no dockage and no route to the Gulf from the community. That is another way the name misleads, because Marco Island is an island and this is not.

If you wanted Marco Island, this is not it, and I would rather tell you in the first conversation than on a second showing. If you wanted a gated golf community in this part of Collier County and the name is incidental, it deserves a look, and being overlooked by everybody filtering for the island is not a defect in the property.
What I would establish with you: how golf membership is structured and what it costs, what the association covers, and the drive times you actually care about, since the address is closer to the island than most of Naples but is not on it.
